TMC Labs Training
Learn how to use Think Make Create (TMC) Labs to teach STEM concepts through fun, hands-on, activities. Each lab is a mobile makerspace with a robust K-8 curriculum aligned to Idaho science standards and the materials to complete each activity. Labs are available to educators to use in their classrooms, afterschool programs, summer camps, community events, and more at little or no cost! Join us for one of these FREE 5-hour trainings, including lunch!
- May 3, 10 am to 3:30 pm, Camas County School District School in Fairfield
- May 6, 11 am to 2:00 pm, YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir near Cascade
- May 9, 10 am to 3:30 pm, Eams complex at ISU, Pocatello
- May 10, 10 am to 3:30 pm, Lemhi County Extension Office, Salmon
- May 16, 9:30 am to 3 pm, Lewiston Community Center, Lewiston
- May 17, 10 am to 3:30 pm, Boundary County Extension Office, Bonners Ferry
- May 31, 9 am to 2:30 pm, Boys and Girls Club, Payette

Asking Purposeful Questions with ION's Amy Post

Questions are the beginning of a path towards discovery, imagination, and STEM exploration. How can we help youth expand and clarify their thinking and develop their reasoning through the questions we ask them? This module is designed for educators who would like to grow in their practice in facilitating STEM learning within a supportive group of other educators.
Join ION's Amy Post for Asking Purposeful Questions from 10 AM to 12 PM (MT) on May 21, June 4 and June 18, 2024.

TMC Labs Mini-Grants
TMC host organizations are eligible to apply for mini-grants of up to $1,000 to cover the costs of restocking and maintaining their TMC Labs. TMC Hosts must be up to date on user report submissions to qualify for mini-grants. Applications will be considered monthly on a rolling basis.
Idaho STEM Ecosystem Grants
We strongly encourage all TMC Lab hosts and other STEM programs to apply for the Idaho STEM Ecosystem regional grants of up to $5,000. These grants will be available during the school year and applications are considered four times each year. Click HERE to learn more.
