Last year, Second Harvest distributed more than 30million pounds of food to a network of 250 neighborhood food banks and meal centers. These partner programs currently feed more than 55,000 people a week in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Second Harvest is able to direct almost 99 percent of all donations, including in-kind gifts, toward collecting, transporting, warehousing and distributing food for people in need. We value all who have joined us in the fight against hunger in the region.
Community Coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention (CCSAP) is committed to promoting and advocating a drug-free lifestyle and environment in and around Bonner County. As a coalition we unite local organizations, businesses, agencies and individuals for the achievement of a common goal. Our efforts result in an improved quality of life in our community and across North Idaho.

Advocates Against Family Violence works to eliminate domestic violence in families and homes by empowering individuals to make positive life choices through advocacy, support, education, affordable housing, awareness and community involvement.
Services available: list of local resources, domestic violence hotline, local Adult education classes, local Teen education classes, a Teen Outreach Program presented at local area schools and community agencies serving teens throughout the entire state of Idaho, local daycare services.
Afterschool programs keep kids safe, inspire them to learn and help working families. For every child in a program, two are waiting to get in. We're working to change that.

K-12 Outreach Activities
The Department of Geosciences is eager to work with local teachers and classes to enhance Earth Science education in the K-12 community. , if you are looking for someone from the department to give a special presentation to your class, assist with developing classroom activities, serve as a science fair judge or advisor, speak at a career day, assist with Science Olympiads, etc.
A variety of materials have been produced within the geoscience department by faculty, staff, students and volunteers. These include field trip guides, lab activities, career resource materials, local geoscience content and related instruction materials. We expect the number and variety of items available for download on this site to increase each year. Please contact us with further specific classroom material requests and/or suggestions to improve our materials available.
Proudly serving more than 14,500 youth and their families encompassing 31,000 square miles across the Southwest Idaho and Eastern Oregon counties of Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, Valley and Washington in Idaho as well as Harney and Malheur in Oregon.
The BLM manages a variety of resources in Idaho with an emphasis on recreation, grazing and fire management on nearly 12 million acres of public lands, nearly one-fourth of the state's total land area.
