BUILDING BLOCKS: ABOUT

The “Idaho Building Blocks for Out-of-School Time Quality” provide a baseline of quality and are the foundation from which to build quality programming for school-age programs including: before school, after-school, summer learning, clubs, sports, and other youth programming.

K-12 Educators

The Building Blocks provide K -12 educators a common language for partnership. Quality out-of-school  time programs drive student achievement and school leaders can incorporate quality out-of-school programming into plans to improve academic outcomes!

Families

The Building Blocks help families understand the key elements of a high-quality program. Families are excellent advocates and partners and have a great impact on youth outcomes!

Founders and Policymakers

The Building Blocks help funders and policymakers link funding to practices that lead to measurable outcomes. The Building Blocks establish clear expectation for all stakeholders and provide a common language  to assist policy development!
